Terms & Conditions

Last updated: August 2026

These terms apply when you engage DotComAgency to design, build, and maintain a website on your behalf. By confirming a project with us, you agree to the terms below.

Our service

We design and build fully custom websites, typically including automation features such as booking, enquiry capture, and AI chat, tailored to your business. Projects are usually delivered within approximately 2 weeks of your project being confirmed, depending on scope.

Pricing and payment

Each project is priced individually based on your requirements. Our pricing structure consists of:

Exact fees are confirmed with you directly before work begins.

Ownership

Once your one-off build fee is paid in full, the website we build for you is yours. You are free to move it to a different provider in future, subject to reasonable notice under the ongoing plan terms below.

Ongoing plan and cancellation

The monthly plan covers hosting, routine updates, and support for your site's automation features. You may cancel the ongoing plan at any time by giving us 30 days' written notice by email. On cancellation, we will provide reasonable assistance to help you migrate hosting elsewhere.

What's included in support

Small updates (text changes, minor content edits) are covered under your monthly plan. Larger changes — new pages, new features, or significant redesigns — are quoted separately.

Liability

We take reasonable care to deliver a working, reliable website, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted uptime, as this can depend on third-party hosting providers outside our control. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of your website.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use your website to host or distribute illegal, harmful, or infringing content.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

This is a starting template covering the basics of a typical web design engagement. It has not been reviewed by a solicitor. Before relying on it for real, paying clients, we'd recommend a brief professional review — particularly around payment terms, liability, and cancellation, which are worth getting right in writing before your first contract.
